Kimberly K. Wilson is an accomplished executive whose unconventional journey and professional ascension is fueled by passion, dedication to fulfilling purpose, and unyielding love for her community. She is an 18-year media entertainment veteran and currently serves as Vice President, Affiliate Marketing for Disney and ESPN Media Networks (a division of ESPN, Inc.). As Vice President, she is responsible for leading a team of marketers to develop and execute marketing strategy to drive distribution for The Walt Disney Company’s portfolio of networks including some of the strongest brands in the industry: ESPN, SEC Network, Disney Channels, Freeform and ABC.

A native of Chicago, Wilson was raised by entrepreneurial parents in a household that embraced community and instilled philanthropy. Through her parents, she also learned the importance of receiving an education and pursuing one’s dreams. Wilson did just that when, at almost 30 years old, she received an internship in Washington, DC with Black Entertainment Television (BET). This was the catalyst that kicked off her career in the entertainment industry.

Prior to joining ESPN, Wilson served as Director of Marketing for Clear Channel Radio New Orleans (now iHeart Radio). She led the development and execution of all marketing, promotions, and community affairs efforts for seven diverse radio stations from Hip Hop to Gospel, Classic Rock and Country. She began her media career as Affiliate Sales Manager for BET where she was responsible for increasing distribution of BET Networks.

Wilson received a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Columbia College of Chicago and earned a Masters Degree in Integrated Marketing from Roosevelt University. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and in her spare time she mentors young men and women on how to design and navigate their career paths. In 2015, she was selected to be a mentor in the Global Sports Mentorship Program created by the US State Department and ESPN. Her proudest accomplishment is as co-founder and president of the Don D. Wilson Dream A Dream Foundation – an organization created to support and actualize the dreams of young people in the areas of music, sports and entrepreneurship. Wilson currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
