Barry Blyn

Vice President, Consumer Insights
Barry Blyn was named vice president, consumer insights at ESPN in January 2008. In this position, Blyn will build upon ESPN’s strong base of research in order to increase the sophistication and strategic focus of ESPN’s consumer research capabilities for all ESPN businesses.
Blyn joined ESPN from Sterling Brands where he was senior vice president, strategy leading brand positioning projects for MTV, Lifetime, CMT, People Magazine and Entertainment Weekly. Prior to that, Blyn worked for nine years at Comedy Central where he rose to vice president, programming research.
Blyn began his career in research at Peter Hart Associates where he directed numerous consumer and political studies.
Blyn was graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor of arts degree in 1992 and earned a masters degree in business from NYU in 2002.
